The local equities market resumed trading today after yesterday (Sept. 7) was also declared a holiday. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) traded with a positive bias and ended with modest gains.
Philippine August Inflation was at 0.1% in August. This is lower than the 0.2% in July.

The DJIA continued its decline and closed lower overnight by 29.93 points to end at 9280.67.
The local equities market was also in the red and tested once again the 2800 level. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) however got back most of its losses.
