WallStreet again traded lower and it closed near it's day's low. Renewed credit worries and mortgage market fears dragged down the US equities market. The DJIA lost more than 100 points anew.

The local equities market also opened lower and traded in negative territory. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) however managed to limit its losses.
