The Philippine Stock Market - August 14, 2009

The DJIA advanced overnight by 36.58 points to close at 9398.19.

The local equities market opened slightly higher, and traded with an upward bias early in the session. By mid-session, it gives back its early gains and then goes into negative territory late in the trading day. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) closes near its day's low and continues its consolidation at the 2800-2900 level.
