The day's market - January 08, 2008

The Philippine Foreign Exchange Reserves as of December 2007 was at a record high $33.71 bn. The Gross International Reserves (GIR) was 46.5% 0r $10.7 billion higher than the year ago level of only $23 billion.

With WallStreet holding its ground at the 12,800 level, the local equities market also was firm at the 3480 level.
