The first day of trading of 2008 in the PSE

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down 101.05 points last December 31, to end the year 2007 at 13264.82

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) resumed trading activities today. The local equities market however, started the new year with a whimper. With this trading week again cut short to only three days, most investors remained on the sidelines.
