Meltdow in WallStreet. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) loses more than 500 points to break below the 11000 level and close at its low.
The S&P 500 drops the most since the Sept 11, 2000 attacks.

The local equities market declines together with the other asian markets. Together with negative sentiment, some issues have been affected ans sold down because of their exposeure to Lehman Brothers. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEI) drops again by more than 4%.
