The day's market - November 23, 2007

With WallStreet closed for Thanksgiving, there was no leads for the Philippine Stock Market. Trading in the local equities market was flat at just below the 3500 level. The computer system in trading was also not computing the Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) and it just gave intermittent updates starting at 10:00 am. To give us an idea on how trading of stocks was going, we just kept track of the number of gainers and decliners.

Today, TKC Steel Corporation (T) resumed its trading. It last traded on November 7, 2007 at PhP 14.75. It just completed its secondary offering at the price of PhP 9.68. Even if it is the day's biggest decliner; investors who subscribed to the secondary offering gained 3.30%.
