WallStreet resumed trading after a holiday break. The DJIA traded in a wide 200 point range and attempted to breach the 12500 resistance level. It however gave back its gains and even closed lower.

World Crude prices touched the $100/barrel level once again.

The Philippine Stock Market once again was locked in lackluster trading. It moved within a very narrow 15 point range.

The Philippine Currency was trading at a range of PhP 40.72- 40.73 to $ 1.00 in the morning trade.

Asian equities markets were down.
