PSEi previous close - 3326.53

The local equities market once again traded in a narrow range. It moved within the 3310-3340 range. The PSEI still is consolidating above the 3300 level and is trying to build a base.

The market was up in the first 30 minutes of trading. It reached a high of 3337.87 (up 11.34 points.)

By 10:00 am, the market was in the negative territory and touched a low of 3313.69 (down 12.84 points). It stayed on the downside for the next half hour.

Trading remained brisk on select thirdliners. (SEE the day's top gainers)

The market was able to eke out slight gains in the last half hour of trading.
