It was a strong finish in WallStreet after a relatively weak start and a flat mid-session trade. The DJIA posted another triple digit advance to extend its gains after touching the 10,900 level late last week.

The local equities market after holding ground at the 2400 level yesterday; got a boost of confidence from the strong performance in WallStreet and in the other asian equities markets. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) opened higher and continued its advance to close at its high.
