The Philippine Stock Market - December 5, 2008

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down by 215.45 points to close at 8376.24. The tech-laden Nasdaq was lower by 46.82 to end at 1445.56 as of Dec 4.

The local equities market continues to trade in a narrow range below the 1900 level with low value turnover. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) closed little changed.

Philippine Inflation was down to single digit levels at 9.9% ( 6-month low) in November.
The US Labor Market lost 250,000 jobs in Nov., the highest decline in 6 years.
