WalStreet staged a big rebound and attempted to test the 7000 level. It closed off its highs but still managed a gain of about 150 points.

The local equities market got a boost of confidence from the big rise in the DJIA. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) broke through the 1900 level and closed near its high.

RP Inflation up 7.3% year-on-year.
