WallStreet got a huge boost on the news of the bailout of Citigroup. It has now advanced almost 900 points in the past two trading sessions (Friday and Monday) as it got back its steep losses of around 870 points last Nov 19-20 (Wednesday and Thursday).

The local equities market again tracked the movement in WallStreet. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) however advanced more today than yesterday, as it tested the 1900 level after closing near its high and ending up by 108 points.
