The Philippine Stock Market - January 20, 2009

The local equities market was directionless in the first few minutes of trading. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) however, soon fell below the 1900 level. As the decline deepened, it closed the chart gap at the 1876-1925 levels before recovering about half of its losses by the close.
