WallStreet continues to post slight to moderate gains the past days even if bad news about lay-offs, poor earnings and all-time low consumer confidence have been filtering to the market. The DJIA has so far held above the 8000 level.

The local equities market continue to consolidate with low volumes. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) moved within a narrow 20-point range.
