WallStreet closed little changed. The DJIA moved within a narrow 75-point range.
Ten US banks are planning to repay the government; $68 bn in TARP loans.

Oil breaches the $70 a barrel level. It has now risen more than 50% in the past three months.

The local equities market did not continue its correction today as expected. Led by PLDT (+PhP 85.00 or +3.74%) and with the asian markets advancing, the Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) broke above the 2500 level again with a strong momentum. It closes near its high.
Investors seem unperturbed by the rally this afternoon against the convening of a Constitutional Assembly; and the April Export data which showed a decline of 35.2% year-on-year.
