The DJIA was down more than 100 points at one point but managed to recover its losses and close little changed.

The local equities market failed to get any direction from WallStreet. The Philippine Stock Exhanged Index (PSEi) opened directionless but soon gave way to a correction as most asian equities markets were on the decline. The drop came ahead of the big rally tomorrow against the Constituent Assembly (Con-Ass). The immediate support at the 2500 level was broken and the PSEi ended near its low.
