The day's market - October 02, 2007

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) surged by 191.92 points and ended at a new all time record high close of 14,087.55

Gold prices were nearing the $750 an ounce level.

PLDT ADRs were up in WallStreet by $2.20. It is more than PhP 2994 when converted. Yesterday, PLDT last traded at PhP 2905 in the Philippine Stock Exchange.

The local equities market immediately got a big boost upon the opening bell.
