The DJIA closed little changed after moving in and out of negative territory and within a 120-point trading range.
The local equities market on the other hand was up upon the opening bell but then immediately went on a steadiy decline. The continous drop never allowed the Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) to recover intra-day and it even closed near its low.
