WallStreet continues its drop from last Thursday and has now fallen around 440 points or 5.8% since then. The DJIA also fell below the Oct. 10, 2002 low of 7197.40. It is currently trading at levels last seen on Oct. 31, 1997 when it touched a low of 6933.

The local equites market was weighed down by the continues declines in WallStreet. The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSEi) did not fall as steeply but closed lower by more than 1.0%.
