The Philippine Stock Market - April 16, 2009

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) advanced 109.44 pts (+1.38%) overnight to end at 8029.62.
The big rise in WallStreet spilled over the local equities market which immediately opened higher. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi)was able to hold on to its gains throughout the session and closed near its high.
