WallStreet again had a huge advance overnight and the DJIA tests the 8000 level which it last breached on February 10, 2009.
The local equities market opened higher on back of the gains in WallStreet. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) was able to hold on to its gains ahead of the extended weekend and the coming Holy Week.
