The Philippine Stock Market - April 27, 2009

The local equities market opened higher as it followed the rise in WallStreet last Friday. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) touched a new six-month high very early in the trading session, but the market soon gave in to a correction. The decline continued and as the mood reversed, the PSEi closed near its low.
