WallStreet traded in a range at around the 8000 level. The DJIA was able to hold its ground with minimal losses despite reports that Citibank and Bank of America needed more capital.
The local equities market did not have any leads to follow and the Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) moved in a very narrow range. Trading volumes remained lethargic though select secondliner property stocks (MEG and FLI) enjoyed brisk trade.
