The Philippine Stock Market - April 21, 2009

WallStreet plunged overnight by nearly 300 points. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) fell by 289.60 points to end at 7841.73; after going above 8100 last Friday, (its highest level since Feb. 10, 2009).

The local equities market followed the declines after going above the 2100 level yesterday. The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) last reached this level on October 22, 2008.
